Pay-Per-Click Advertising

What is Pay-Per-Click?

Pay-Per-Click (PPC) is a method of advertising your website, services or products on search engines with the added benefit that you only pay for an advert when someone clicks on it to get to your site. The adverts are short, specific and only show up when potential customers search for certain selected keywords. By picking these keywords carefully and writing compelling, focused adverts, it is possible to attract highly interested customers from your target audience.

Why Do PPC?

PPC can be used for a variety of reasons:

  • It’s cheaper than traditional adverting and more easily measureable
  • It can return nearly instant results, attracting potential customers in minutes
  • You have complete control – daily budget, specific keywords, target location and time of day
  • Adverts can be targeted and optimised for desktop computers or mobile devices

You can still run a PPC advertising campaign parallel to your organic results. In fact, it can be very beneficial to achieve more search engine “real estate” – with multiple listings on the first page of Google plus PPC advertising, you can dramatically increase the chances a customer picks your website.

How PPC Works

The first step is to create a campaign that targets specific areas and keywords that match your business. This also involves choosing a geographical location, daily budget, what type of adverts are shown and where your adverts appear. Once your adverts begin showing on Google, a cost is incurred each time someone clicks on the link to your website – you “pay-per-click”.

Our job is to maximise how many people click on your advert when they see it; also known as the click-through-rate (CTR) of the advert. This is done by careful keyword analysis – finding the words and phrases that exactly match what your customers are searching for and writing compelling adverts based around them.

By matching the advert to the chosen keywords and the landing page, we can reduce the cost-per-click (CPC) of your adverts to give you the most amount of paid traffic for the lowest cost. The better we can match your adverts, the lower the CPC, and the further your money can go!
