Don’t worry, we’re not going to go political in this post, but we have some interesting digital marketing stats regarding the EU referendum that we thought we would share. We’re also going to take a quick look at the current UEFA Euro 2016 brand sponsor winners in online search.

The #EU ref data hub allows us to see what was discussed on Twitter regarding Brexit.  The digital marketing stats reveal that the Leave campaign received the most attention on the social network in the run up to voting day. The Remain campaign did receive plenty of attention, gaining the most mentions on June 23, 2016, but Leave had the most references overall. David Cameron was also discussed a lot on Twitter, with his name being mentioned in 37.8% of the Tweets.

UEFA Euro 2016 Sponsors

Euro 2016 brand sponsors are also learning more about the success of their marketing campaigns. Bing Ads have released information regarding the most popular sponsors, showing that the car companies Kia Motors and Vauxhall are coming out on top.  So far, Kia Motors have secured 26% of online searches becoming the most searched global brand sponsor of the competition. The top UK brand is Vauxhall, with 35% search volume, with Marks and Spencer coming in second with 26% of online searches.
