Managing Social Media Accounts After Work Hours

If you’re anything like me, the first thing you want to do after a long day of work is get home and curl up in front of the tele and the last thing you want to do is more work. That’s the issue, using Social Media to promote your brand is hard work. What if I was to tell you you could use your Social Media accounts after work without actually having to use your Social Media accounts after work.

Preposterous! – you might say. Here’s 3 tips on how to do so.

Plan Ahead

If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail. That’s exactly what your Social Media campaign needs: a plan. Plan out topics, themes, content, projects with your colleagues so everyone is aware on what should be posted on your account.
Whilst this is simple, I cannot emphasise the importance of this step.

Create a Calendar

Make this calendar available to everyone, therefore everyone is on the same page. You can lay out exactly what is going to posted, when it will be posted. You can plan out content for months ahead and tailor content on a weekly basis to remain relevant.

Scheduling

Do you want your evening of watching Graham Norton reruns to be interrupted? I certainly don’t. So schedule your posts. You can do this using tools like Hootsuite or Buffer. This allows you to set a time for your post to go out and will automatically post it for you, giving you a stress-free uninterrupted evening.
