Google AdWords UI is Here to Stay

It’s time to let go of the old and welcome in the new. Google announced that the new AdWords UI would be fully retired by the end of 2018, but it seems the actual end date is a lot sooner than anticipated. Google has started sending out notifications to some advertisers, informing them that the old UI will be replaced with the new, starting in just a few days!

The new Google AdWords UI will replace the old one, meaning no advertisers will be able to jump to and from the new and the old. It’s time to say your goodbyes and jump to the new, once and for all. Some of the advertisers have been given the switchover date as July 10, 2018. Not everyone will lose access to the old, comfortable UI at the same time, but it is a sign of things to come for all of us. Are you ready to move forward?

Turn on Notifications

Google is phasing in the transition, starting next month. Advertisers will receive a notification informing them of the date that their accounts will be switching over. This will take a few months, but it will all be complete by year-end, likely to be the end of October 2018. This takes out the worry of the switch over taking place in December, a busy time of year that could have been rather stressful for many advertisers.

Make sure you will be notified of the date your accounts will switch over to the new AdWords UI by updating your notification settings. The old data will still remain accessible in the new UI, but there are some features that won’t be coming over. Additionally, there are many features that are new to the Interface that you may need to adjust to. Expect a few kinks too, these will need working out.
