Using images on twitter may seem like a simple and trivial tip for getting more engagement on your tweets. You’re not wrong, but it is highly effective. It’s something that can often be overlooked; hence I’m writing this article.
Don’t believe me?
This is Dan Zeralla’s analysis on over 400,000 tweets. This graph clearly shows that tweets with embedded photos are 94% more likely to receive retweets than those that don’t. Can you really argue with those numbers? Other important stats are as follows:
- Tweets with images get 89% more favourites
- Tweets with images receive 18% more clicks.
These are important stats. 18% more clicks may not seem a massive number, however those that don’t click the link are still more likely to follow you because your tweets are more enticing.
As well as this; you will recieve a “recent photos” section to your profile, that not only gives followers a chance to check out what else you have shared it brings colour and diversity to your profile.
If you don’t believe me, try it yourself. It can’t hurt, surely? If you feel you need a helping hand with your twitter advertising make sure you get in touch. Sharp Monkeys is a digital marketing agency based in Worcester.
