The most helpful (and FREE) SEO tools.

Like most things, SEO can be very tricky without the right tools. Here I have highlighted a few of the most useful SEO tools that I have come across.

Page Speed Checkers

Google Page Speed Insights, WebPageTest, Pingdom. These would be my top 3 suggestions when it comes to scoring your site for speed and giving you tips on how to improve the speed of your site.

Needless to say; if your site is slow/laggy, it will drive customers away.

Keyword Research and Content Planning

Google’s Keyword Planner allows you to enter the URL of your site (or a competitors) and browse the keyword suggestions based on the content on your site. You can sort the results on average monthly search volume or “suggested bid”.
faq fox allows you to find popular question people are asking in your industry.

Google autocomplete. Pretty self explanatory, but begin to search relevant terms into Google and assess the suggestions.

On Site Tools

Screaming Frog SEO Spider. This is useful for identifying a multitude of on page factors and highlighting where there are issues (with page titles and descriptions being too long or too short, finding broken links or internal redirects that need to be updated).

Schema Creator can help you generate code depending on the type of content and structured data you need to implement.

Like I said, SEO can be tricky. If you would like any help with your SEO make sure you get in touch. Sharpmonkeys is a digital marketing agency based in Worcester.
